This boutique hotel comprises 30 suites built on a teak homestead that dates back to the late 1800s. The homestead was initially owned by a British merchant with a license to harvest and export teak from the region to Europe's shipbuilding yards. The suites are available in five distinct options that vary in size (minimum 70 square meters) and bed styles. Each suite has an outdoor living space with comfortable, handcrafted furniture that overlooks tropical gardens.

The property spans 1.3 acres and features specially commissioned sculptures, as well as 24 traditional teak Thai homes that were rescued and reassembled on-site. Fourteen of these homes have been renovated to offer modern luxuries. The name 'Villa Mahabhirom' means 'villa of great pleasure' in Thai. The property boasts a diverse and intriguing collection of antiques, curios, furnishings, and objet d’art that add to its unique charm.
